Automedon is a two day event held every year in the exhibition center of the Bourget Airport near Paris. This year to celebrate its 15th edition, the main theme of the event was Simca and the Club Simca France presented many Simcas of the 40s and 50s.
But as usual, in the parking lot outside, many production cars, including Italians, Germans and Americans, attracted the attention of the enthusiastic visitors, and for us, perhaps even more fun than the show itself!
Nice cars, nice weather, lot of people…thoroughly enjoyable!

The yellow Simca 8 Roux grille reminded me of an Allard J2X, which was owned by a friend. I would guess that the scale is different. I once had two Panhard Juniors (one a rolling chassis) It was good to refresh my memory. Don

A Delahaye 135 winner of the 1937 Le Mans 24 hours ??? To the best of my knowledge, the winner was the Bugatti 57 G of Jean-Pierre Wimille and Robert Benoist !
There was a Delahaye 135 S with race nr 10 at the 3rd place, but it did not look very much like the car diplayed at Automedon…

In my opinion the nicest Simcas ever was missing: The “8” Sport Cabriolet and Coupe by Pininfarina, 1950.
