Coming up in January: Allen R. Kuhn Panning for Gold
Allen R. Kuhn brings us the best of his sideways photos, and boy some of them were Duesies. And Ferraris. And Porsches.

One of the most difficult photos to take with film cameras were the panning shots. But that never bothered Allen R. Kuhn.
Allen will present a series of images from the side, and we think we’ve got enough for two articles. A lot of Italian iron but no Duesies, sorry.

Coming up in January: Bill Warner and the…
We are thrilled to welcome R&T photographer, journalist, and founder of the Amelia Island Concours Bill Warner to the electronic pages of VeloceToday. Warner recently discovered a treasure, and shared it with us, even though as Bill put it, “…it didn’t have enough power to pull the sheet of a bed.” Fast or not, this one is a real find.
Coming Up in January: The Wacky World of Bob Gerard
Thanks to reader Ed Hull, who thought we might like a little double book called “Pit Stop, Uncle Bob and Me as recounted by Julian Gerard” and kindly sent up a copy. We sure did, and in search of more information about Julian’s uncle Bob, we found the book, “The Life and Times of Bob Gerard,” authored primarily by Graham Gauld in 2014. Between the two, we get a very good sense of Bob Gerard, and a rollicking good time it was, racing ERAs, Rileys, Coopers as an independent. He was very successful too, driving the dickens out of the ancient ERAs (he had three). So in January we’ll take a closer look at the life and times of Bob Gerard.
Coming Up in January: Our 25th Anniversary
VeloceToday is celebrating out 25th Anniversary in 2026, so we’ll take the opportunity to share how VT came into being in those early days of the Internet circa 2000. We were pioneers. Did you know that Facebook did not come online until 2006? Youtube in 2005? Positively late comers. And even Google, then just another ‘Ask Jeeves” founded in 1998, would not go IPO until 2004. Today there are over 1 billion websites; when we established VeloceToday’s website, there were only 17 million world wide. We were not only pioneers, but we have survived, all because of you and our contributors. Find out how Stephen Glenn, Denise McCluggage, Michael Lynch, and many others helped create and shape VeloceToday.
And, you will NOT see another edition of VeloceToday….
Until January 6th, as we are taking a break for the holidays, which means that we’ll spend the time off getting new articles ready. So we wish all of our readers, subscribers and contributors a very happy holiday season.

Merry Christmas to all of you at Veloce Today!
May the New Year bring you health
Congratulations on 25 years of incredible work ! Merry Christmas and happy New Year Pete and to everyone on your staff ! Same to my fellow readers who contribute material to the cause.
Pete and Staff-
Thank you for providing so many interesting and informative articles the past year. You guys have earned a rest, and I look forward to seeing you back up and running in the new year. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year…
just a gripe from an old guy: why is EVERYTHING, from national news to stories like these, a tease? just what did bill warner find? i remember when a radio program would say “tulsa u upset oklahoma a&m 23-21 today. details after these messages.” now they blather on–taking up more airtime!–with stuff like “you’ll wanna hear what happened in the oklahoma a&m-tulsa football game today!” Merry Christmas and be well everybody!
Well it worked, didn’t it!
Have a great Holiday season!!!
I think that I have a photo of that red hot rod that Bill is kneeling against, as part of an full hot rod and dragster card set I somehow obtained in the mid 1960s. It sure illustrates the uniqueness of this rod, but it isn’t identified nor a shot that shows the whole car.
Yup, have a great holiday and time off!
