This year’s edition of the “Coppa d’Oro delle Dolomiti” held near Cortina d’Ampezzo (Italy) had regulations that admitted cars built from 1919 till 1961, plus an additional class for cars from 1962 to 1965 with particular merits. It was a two day event with three sections, starting and arriving in Cortina, with a total more than 500 kilometers and 13 Dolomiti passes.
About 75 cars lined up at the start with only one 1962 cabriolet Ferrari; no Maseratis, no Oscas, one Bugatti 37, very few Fiats and Lancias but many English and German cars (Jaguar, Mercedes, Triumph, Lagonda, Alvis, Aston Martin) coming from Italy, but also from all over Europe.
Still, there was nice weather and lot of people waiting for the drivers in Cortina. A night session, which was new for the Coppa was very well accepted by the drivers.
The winner was Vesco and Guerini with a red Fiat 508S Balilla Sport of 1934.
See you in 2016 with a target of 100 cars at the start!

I believe at least one caption is incorrect – it is a 1925 Bentley 3 Liter not a Lagonda.
