October 20, 2010 By Gerelli

Alessandro brought back the exciting, the electric, the eclectic and the elderly from the Paris Auto Show, held between October 2nd and 17th 2010. As usual, there was a large showing of classic and antiques in addition to the latest offerings from around the world. We mixed them up to remind ourselves that somethings change and others don’t, but we like them all.

Project of the French Espera Design school directed by the famous Italian-Swiss designer Franco Sbarro. Essenza has a traditional engine.

Alpine Renault, M63-64.

Renault Zoe: an electric car ready for sales mid 2012.

Renault Megane V6 is a very sporty version of the Megane.

1932 Citroen C4 roadster Le Mans

Renault Fluence Z.E. Another electric car available mid 2011.

Replica of the 70s of the Renault 40 CV “des records” Type NM of 1926: this model achieved an average speed of 173.6 kmh for 24 hours.

Ferrari SA Aperta is a tribute to Pininfarina 80 years. S is for Sergio and A for Andrea Pininfarina, while Aperta is the Italian for open. The engine is the same of the 599 GTO with 670 bhp. Only 80 (the age of Pininfarina) will be produced but already sold out at more than 400K euros each. The car is strictly a spider with a very light hood to be used only with heavy rain.

    The Peugeot “Eclipse” is not a 610 D, but a 601 D.
This is most probably the only still extant exemplar, from the 21 units built.
It is part of the Collection Claude Frésard at the “Musée de l’Automobile de Muriaux” in Switzerland.

Wonderful photos of autos in Paris but what show was it? Some of it looked like it was Paris Retro am I right or wrong? I do know that the Peugeot Coupè diesel record car of 1965 and the Peugeot 601 D Eclipse of 1935 were both in the Peugeot Museum at the time of the Retro show.
