I still have all of mine(100+). Several years ago, my son arranged them all in a scrapbook for me. I always wondered if I was the only kid who had these. I also have a large collction of airplane bubble gum cards. Just wasn’t very interested in Baseball or football.

I guess it just proves not all of us are as unique as we often times think we are. I too still maintain a collection of these cards. Alas, I long ago let my airplane cards go. Thanks for stirring up the memories. Really interesting the eclectic choices in subject matter. I would really like to know the inside story of who did the original research for them.

Bob,
The Tops Company is still around producing all manners of cards. http://www.thetoppsvault.com. I couldn’t find anything related to the automobile cars on their site, and several attempts to contact them went unnoticed. They might have gotten the information for the cards from “Cars” magazine. If you find out more, please let us know.

I can still smell that thin piece of bubble gum that came with the cards those MANY years ago. Just wish Mon hadn;t thrown them out. I remember the Pegaso being my favorite. Ah, the joys of getting old 🙁
