Bologna’s Mario Marchesini Describes the 50th Anniversary of Lamborghini

In Rome all, 350 Lamborghinis were parked in Vatican’s San Pietro Square before they arrived at Bologna. Here the Lamborghinis gather in the Piazza Maggiore in Bologna on Friday afternoon (May 10th).
Lamborghinis came from all over; from Germany and Switzerland; one Miura came from Norway and as the owner drove it all the way, he received a special award; another Miura came from Australia; one Diablo from Japan.
The Aventador was presented in the luxury shopping gallery (Galleria Cavour) of Bologna where they just opened a Lamborghini shop.
Lamborginis, Ducatis and food;now that is Bologna!

Alfa and Lamborghini Police cars and troops ensure everyone stays in first gear.
Every model of Lamborgini was there; this the 350GT.
At left, Ingeniere Dallara (father of the Lamborghini Miura); at the right Giorgio Giugiaro. Both were judges of the concorso d'eleganza held on Saturday.

One family Urraco; son owns it now, father bought it new.
Marchesini tells us that the expression 'countach' in the local dialect is a bit stronger than originally translated; 'F--k You' is closer to the real meaning.
‘Sesto Elemento’ stands for Sixth Element (in reference to the atomic number of carbon). 90% of the car is in carbon and only 20 will be made.
Gallardos were everywhere....
...spilling out from the Piazza onto the streets...
...and being used for camera cars.
