Story and photos by Hugues Vanhoolandt
Established since 1986 in one of the palaces of the Cinquantenaire complex in Brussels, where the first motor shows were held at the beginning of the 20th century, the Autoworld museum is the most important automobile museum in Belgium. Each year, the end and beginning of the year period hosts a major temporary exhibition.
In the past, the exhibitions entitled “Belgian Racing Legends” and ‘Italian Car Passion’ have remained in the memory.
This one, called “Maserati 110 Years,” which runs until February 23, 2025, will also be in the memory due to the number and quality of the vehicles gathered, coming from Belgium and abroad, such as the Panini collection from Modena.
The exhibition covers the entire history of the trident brand, from its racing beginnings in the 1920s to the current period with the MC20 and the electric Gran Turismo, including the Orsi and De Tomaso periods.
But let’s rather see in pictures what this exhibition shows.

What a phenomenal display! One beauty after another.
Only major one missing: the 8CL racers of 1938 that won twice at Indianapolis.
Nicolas Zart says
When I think of Maserati, I think of Obelix and Asterix, the irresolute Gauls, in this case, Italians. One of the family members told me they felt it unfair to compete against Alfa Romewo a state-funded car when they bootstrapped everything. I have a soft spot for Maserati, almost all of them.

Wonderful display. One correction, the black “Merak” is a Bora. Easy to confuse the two. But the polished stainless roof and wheels with caps are a quick give away.
John Shea says
The 150S looks magnificent in that unusual color, is it purple or are my eyes going ? I imagine very very few left the facility not bathed in resale red.
