Story and Photos by Alessandro Gerelli
This is a rather new event for Milano, the city which will host the World Expo 2015. But every year the success grows and the number and quality of the cars increases. The 2014 show featured more car restorers, many dealers and the usual owner clubs.
Notably, I have seen a lot of old Italian cars. But at this show, I found a few I had never seen before!

Abarth 850 TCR Pendolare of 1969: the car has a 115 bhp engine, front and rear disc brakes and special suspension.

Fiat 2800 limousine: this car was produced in 620 examples from 1938 to 1944, of which five were used by Mussolini’s staff. The car had a 2.8 liters engine with 85 bhp.

Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider by Bertone of 1955: designed by Scaglione. The Pinin Farina design won out, due mainly to the fact that Bertone had to produce also the Sprint and there were doubts about the production capacity of Bertone factory.

Alfa Romeo Pettenella Leontina spider of 1976. In the late 70s, the interest for old cars was growing and an Italian coachbuilder of San Leo whose name was Pettenella (hence the name Pettenella Leontina) built a copy of the Alfa Romeo 1750 Gran Sport Zagato with an Alfa 2000 engine with 128 bhp, a 5 gear box and disk brakes. Only 12-14 have been built.

Superba!
The little Alfa Romeo Guilietta spider looks remarkably like the Australian Goggomobil Dart.
Yes, wonderful cars all of them – but most of the first bunch we have all seen before (Stratos, Maser. 5000, etc.). I would have so liked to see more of those that were new to the author/photographer.
Re the Alfa Giulietta Spider Bertone prototype, thank you P.F.!
I want a Bertone Giuletta Spyder, beautiful.
