Story and photos by Jonathan Sharp
In last week’s story, we left Jonathan Sharp freezing and wondering about the weather for Sunday…
6.00 am Sunday morning, my alarm goes off. I open the curtains…oh dear, snow. I doubt if they will be able to race at the members meeting today as the snow is supposed to be worse the further West you travel and I live to the East of the circuit.
Decision made, stay at home. But no, the racing does go on. The track was clear of snow and was drying fast due to the wind. The snow ploughs on standby would not be needed but it was a close run thing. 10 races run(two were run on Saturday) and two high speed demonstrations. but no motorbike race, far too cold. No major incidents and good clean but hard racing. And I didn’t go!
However, I had worked hard in the cold and snow on Saturday so I am still able to send you the following shots, simply a selection of my favorites from the meeting.

What a fantastic collection. A few remind me of my first Ford home built. Keep up the good work, Pete. Does anyone realize what great amount of work and time goes into Veloce.

A great account of how it was for those of us who couldn’t be there. Thank you.
I don’t remember seeing that A.C -Bristol race in the 1950’s though.

Great cars, great shots – not least DC in the 300SL.
Intrepid drivers, too, in those Vintage racers minus such creature comforts as bodywork.
