A new website, www.miuraregister.com,
has been launched. Started by a Miura
owner and enthusiast based in Switzerland, the aim of the site is to
document the history and whereabouts of every Lamborghini Miura to leave
the Sant'Agata factory between 1966 and 1973.
The Miura was the car in which to be seen in the late 1960s, the very last
word in speed, style and outright sexiness; the sort of car which made
children weak-kneed, women swoon and traffic stop in all directions when
it passed. It was the founder of the supercar class.
As 762 Miuras were built, researching them all is no mean feat and the
site's creator is under no illusion that it will take months or even years
before his work is complete. "Any submissions will be gratefully received"
he adds, also stating: "We are happy to give credits for information or
photographs, and owners are keenly invited to send us details of their
Miuras including photographs. Names can be kept confidential".
Contact details can be found on the site, which is free to anyone.
