Stu Schaller with his step-daughter Trillian.
Stu Schaller - California, USA

Stu is a newcomer to VeloceToday, and brings to the table decades of knowledge and experience about "etceterinis", a term he coined.

Born in Geneva in 1947 and raised in England, Schaller earned degrees in theoretical physics and mechanical engineering, and later worked under physicist Stephen Hawking. His father was a panel beater for Mercedes Benz prior to the war, but wisely left the team, and Germany, as he was Jewish.

Schaller has owned over 200 cars, mostly Italian, including a brace of Alfa Giuliettas, Giulias, 102 and 106 series cars. Today, he drives a Toyota Tercel, much more suitable for California freeways than the Moretti 750 GS he longs for. Schaller has already supplied us with plenty of interesting and detailed information, including a review of "La Sport I e Suoi Artigiani". Coming up is a story on Gilco, well known for supplying the chassis to Ferrari, but less well know as a race car manufacturer.
