In the "Aintree Zimmer" is a little TV-room. Here you can sit down and watch the film "La Passione" by Chris Rea. In the little hall between the two last rooms, there is a display of the Grand Prix races of 1961, using various pictures and descriptions. "Nürburgring" is a playroom with a Nintendo for the "big kids" to race, and finally there's a large conference room with a huge screen, tables, chairs and presentation equip-ment. On the walls in different show-windows are scale models and photos of many celebrities in the world of racing like Sir Stirling Moss, John Surtees, Keke Rosberg, Nikki Lauda, Alain Prost, Nelson Piquette and many others. Downstairs on the terrace overlooking the gardens, one can rest, while drinking a cup of coffee or tea, and let the impressions of the things he saw, or heard, or dreamt, sink in, while listening to the rustling of the trees.

At The End

Financial support stems from the family fortune, which was placed in care of the foundation. But the foun-dation also depends on sponsors. The admission of DM 6, (which is about $2.80 U.S., or € 3,07) won't add much, because it is very low. The museum can be found in the Parkstrasse 20 in Kerpen-Horrem ( Germany). Coming from the "Autobahn" it is clearly indicated. The museum is open from 14:00 to 18:00 and closed on Saturday. For special arrangements it's wise to contact the museum first. At this time, the management is very busy in attending to the media, because there has been much interest in the museum lately. As well it should be, as the museum is definitely worth a visit.

As you can see on the big model in the Library, behind the fence is a big hall, which was the once a former tennis court. According to Christoph Louis, this will be replaced by a Ferrari museum for Formula 1 cars within about a year. When I asked Mr. Louis about the rumors concerning the possession of several original Ferraris, he smiled. He doesn't confirm it, but he doesn't deny it either.
