What makes Retro Special? The cars? The models? The automobilia? The parts? Or maybe the food, people ambiance and just plain Paris. This is what it looked like 10 years ago….

Hello! I like your site that I discovered not long ago.
As you talk of RETROMOBILE, I’m proud to say that I visited the first (and next) exhibitions at Bastille-Paris before they destroyed the old railway station to be replaced by a hydious Opera Hall. Unfortunately it has changed a lot in spirit and soul over the years, becoming mainly a business matter. I also was fortunate enough to exhibit several times at Retromobile, with Morgan and De Dion-Bouton. Lately I showed my 125 dioramas of models (scale 1/43) for 18 months at CITE DE L’AUTO-COLLECTION SCHLUMPF in Mulhouse. If you are interested in pictures, please leave me your e-mail adress…

Robert Kohler remarked on his collection of dioramas on exhibit in Mulhouse. I’d love to see pictures, please forward to jaffe.mark@gmail.com. I’m especially interested if anyone has a scale model of one of my favorite cars, the Renault R-17 Gordini; I owned a lovely example when I lived in Los Angeles area, back in the late ’70s. See http://markie.info/Gordini.html for more
