And How! features open and innovative formats for notices, articles and posts
“Loved your article on your toy Ferrari, I fall for the same kind of stuff. I took this on the island of Crete with my phone which makes me question why I have so much invested in cameras……”
–Dale LaFollette
He has a point. This fantastic photo has full resolution, depth of field, astounding color, but of course the cameraman is now more than ever more important than the camera itself. Any camera will do today, but not just any cameraman.
And while this shot in itself is wonderful, note how Dale almost hid the desirable object in the maze of toys. Can you identify them all? Here is a bigger shot….
Fiat 600 Tin Toy
Which reminded us of some other tin top toys. You won’t find this one in the above photograph though. But here’s a Fiat 600 which has been hanging about in the Editor’s collection gathering dust and in remarkably good condition. Much better, in fact, than most of the real things. The friction engine still runs too.
Cast metal Citroën
And to be fair, we include a Citroën T/A, another which is not in Dale’s photo but was found languishing, gathering dust (what else) in the VeloceToday library of otherwise worthless things. Cast metal, not a tin top, and very nice. Now, see what you’ve got in your attic and send us a photo.
Your turn….
Not in the attic per se, but I have collected a number of Fiat-Abarth die casts over the years. They are shown here: http://www.oldirish.com/collection/Abarth.html
