Ercole Spada

We sadly note the death of Ercole Spada on August 3, 2025 at the age of 88. His designs for Zagato transformed both the art and the science of race and road car design. Of his many successes our favorite must be the Alfa GTZ1. More on Spada coming up in a future edition of VeloceToday.

The latest from Paul Wilson

I have been working nonstop on the 6C roadster, since getting the engine back about two months ago. Unbelievable obstacles at every turn, but I finally got it running on a test stand, then installed.

Now I’m making linkages for the clutch and accelerator, and hope to have the exhaust system installed soon.

I’m supposed to show it and give a picture/talk on it at Lime Rock on Labor Day, which seemed a long way off half a year ago but now is all too close.

Lancia Missing Link

In our review of Fuoriserie Lancia, when we published the publisher’s link was not always accessible. That has been fixed, so if you are thinking of purchasing Wim Oude Weernink’s latest book, try again below. Also, we did the review by PDF, and after the review was published we received a hard copy book, which we are happy to report exceeds expectations. You will be impressed!

Retail price 80 euros plus shipping. It can be ordered at
