Button Again

There is always something special about Monte Carlo in the late spring. Some seem to be caught up with the glitz and glamour of royalty, the cache of the Casino. With the new world order being completely accepted in this season, Toyota was hoping that their shot would lead to the team’s first win in F1 since entering the sport and spending countless hundreds of millions of dollars resulting in a huge goose egg in the wins column.

The Chinese Grand Prix

I can remember in the late 90s when Ferrari wasn’t on the top of their game and the faithful tifosi would pray that it would rain so a certain Herr Schumacher could drive an underperforming car to victory.

I really do prefer when there is a race to write about, but
unfortunately, the powers that be decided to schedule the Malaysian Grand Prix early in the season, when we know that there is an even chance with Silverstone that it is going to rain.

Fernando Alonso proved that his win in Singapore was no fluke by winning the Japanese Grand Prix in relatively cold conditions, but the real story was how the battle would shape up for the title contenders.

The Italians win, but not the usual Italians

September 14 2008

It is always great when the home team wins in formula one and most of the locals that were in attendance this weekend at Monza were wearing that particular shade of red that identified them as supporters of the Scuderia Ferrari.

Grand Prix of Belgium

September 7th 2008

Most drivers have said over the years that Spa is usually their favorite track during the F1 season. There is a tremendous amount of history at this circuit with great battles over the years and the annual discussion on whether or not Eau Rouge could be taken flat out. This years installment had some last minute drama when it started to rain with just a handful of laps to go, and then even more drama after the fact.
