Sébastien Loeb and Daniel Elena have won their ninth consecutive World Rally Championship, and their eighth World Constructors Championship crown with Citroën.

Loeb could have afforded the luxury of not winning this race and still have won the championship but as expected, the number loyal fans who came to encourage him from every part of France meant Loeb may as well have had wings on his feet. And he did.

Loeb wins in Greece and heads for a Ninth World Championship

Sébastien Loeb and Daniel Elena won the 2012 Acropolis Rally, capturing their fourth win of the season edging out teammate Mikko Hirvonen, while Jari-Matti Latvala of Ford finished in third place.

Qualifying Stage was won by the ever-quick Petter Solberg, followed by Jari-Matti Latvala and Sebastien Loeb.

After an endless series of twists and turns, the “Vodafone Rally de Portugal” was turned upside down. Sebastian Leob nearly destroyed his car on an early special stage and retired. Many stages had to be cancelled for safety reasons. The Citroen DS3 of Hirvonen appeared to be a clear winner…until post race scrutineering excluded the Citroen from the results due to technical irregularities.

Rally Mexico 2012 In English and Italian

September 30-October 1The Rally France was the eleventh round of the WRC and one of the most exciting, with a number of plots and twists. The first surprise was that the John Cooper Works WRC Mini took command of the first day, followed by a Citroen…but that of Petter Solberg, a non factory entry. Sebastien Ogier was third. Rally Argentina in English and Italian

Earlier this month, with the Rally of Sardinia, we had a glimpse of the future of the WRC with the debut of the Mini and the announcement of the WV Polo R for 2013. Three weeks later, the month of May witnessed the sixth round of the World Rally in 2011, and the second trip to South America. This time it was the Rally Argentina.
