Scuderia Portello’s Weekend at the Coppa Intereuropa

As always, the cars and the drivers of the Scuderia del Portello attracted the attention of fans attending the Intereuropa Cup, an event that has returned to the calendar after the suspension of one year.

On the weekend of June 19 and 21, on the circuit and in the paddock at Monza, racing fans were able to see hundreds of racing cars that have left an indelible mark in the history of international sport. Over the weekend of 31 May to 2 June, the Autodromo di Monza played host to the 61st edition of the Coppa Intereuropa. More than 350 racing cars were involved in dozens of races, as well as a series of events and parades to celebrate the 50th year of the 911th Porsche and the 50th year since the founding of Autodelta.

Coppa Intereuropa: Overview in English and Italian

COPPA INTEREUROPA STORICA

Over 350 cars entered in more than 16 races, 1500 show cars and the presence of about 20 thousand spectators marked the success of the 2011Coppa Intereuropa, eagerly awaited by lovers of classic cars. Below, Roberto Motta describes this year’s event in both English and Italian (Italian text below photos)

Last weekend, the legendary Monza circuit hosted the 59th Coppa Intereuropa. For three full days drivers from around the world danced between the curbs of the historic Monza circuit. The Coppa Intereuropa is the most important race series for historic cars held in Italy, and one of the most important worldwide.

“58th Coppa Intereuropa Autostoriche”

On June 4-6th the “58th Coppa Intereuropa Autostoriche” was held at the historic circuit of Monza. The “Intereurope Cup” is the main Italian event for historic cars and this year had competition events for over 350 racing cars: From Tourism classes to Formula 1 and sports prototype, the Autostoriche featured the cars of the classes that participated in the classic “1000 km of Monza”. In addition, the weekend had parades, rallies, shows and a marketplace, all strictly reserved for cars that wrote the racing history.
