After all, it was a Ferrari and that still leaves a glow on your soul.

A friend of mine used to own a 308GT4. He was a normal working man and he worked every hour he could, so that he could save his money to buy his dream car which had to be a Ferrari. He had all the books and models, went to all the shows with me and Ferrari was about all we talked about. So after many years of saving he finally had enough to full fill his dream.

2015 is the 50th anniversary of the Dino 246, apparently due to the introduction of the Dino Berlinetta concept car at Paris in October of 1965. Of course one might claim that is a bit premature, and several other dates since then could well be claimed as potential birthdates; much room to hype and celebrate down the road. Denise McCluggage: Ferrari Makes a Point

I don’t know when Enzo Ferrari decided not to go to races in which his cars ran but to attend practice days instead, but such was his habit when I was covering the Grand Prix circuit. More often than not he was at Monza, sort of the home ball park, for the late summer Formula 1 races. And so as you see in this photograph shot at practice for the 1958 Grand Prix of Italy is “il Commendatore”, as he was usually referred to then, performing for my camera.

The Body

As we have seen in Part 1 of the Fiat Dino Spider the stunning Pininfarina body was used for both the 2.0 Liter and the 2.4 Liter Fiat Dino Spiders. The overwhelming factor in either case is the body–prone to rust, as were most steel Italian bodies of the era, but no doubt one of the finest designs to have left the PF drawing boards in the 1960s.
