Tiresome and trite, tire degradation issues are degrading our sport.

The event at Spa held no major surprises in that the Red Bull duo of Vettel and Webber made short shrift of the competition. Although Webber made what has become a normal start for him and faltered, losing about five positions while Nico Rosberg surprised everyone by rocketing past Vettel into a lead that didn’t last.

The Start

Sebastian Vettel’s number one on the nose of his Red Bull led the way in the season opener as the German took the momentum of winning the championship and converted the first pole into the first win. The Red Bull is quick out of the box; the question will be how long can they hold their advantage over the rest of the field.

Red Bull Survives

Red Bull Racing seems to have fixed their reliability issues and achieved maximum points with Vettel leading Mark Webber to a surprising 1-2 finish. It was surprising in that both cars actually finished, somewhat unexpectedly based on rounds one and two. This week’s result puts the rest of the grid on notice, Red Bull is real and not a flash in the pan. [Read more…] about Malaysian Grand Prix
