Rally Germany 2012 In English and Italian

Sebastian Loeb achieved his seventh win of the season in nine rallies. His victory in the ADAC Rally Deutschland gave Loeb a margin of more than 54 points ahead of Hirvonen and his Ford WRC.

As usual, Loeb set the pace in the early moments of the event, winning the best time in the Shakedown run on the morning of August 23. On the special stage, Loeb was 0.8 ” ahead of Latvala and his Ford Fiesta RS WRC. Following in formation were the other two Fords of Ostberg and Solberg, then the two Citroëns of Neuville and Hirvonen.

Loeb wins in Greece and heads for a Ninth World Championship

Sébastien Loeb and Daniel Elena won the 2012 Acropolis Rally, capturing their fourth win of the season edging out teammate Mikko Hirvonen, while Jari-Matti Latvala of Ford finished in third place.

Qualifying Stage was won by the ever-quick Petter Solberg, followed by Jari-Matti Latvala and Sebastien Loeb.

Sebastien Loeb: Another win at Monza

On 25 and 27 November, Sebastien Loeb, assisted by his wife Severin as co-pilot, dominated the Monza Rally Show. The Alsatian and his Citroen DS3 WRC won seven of the nine special stages, finishing the event with 24 minute, 2-second lead over motorcycleman Valentino Rossi driving a Ford Focus WRC.

Rally Finland 2011 In English and Italian

Sebastien Loeb won the Rally of Finland, increasing his lead in the championship rally. The Citroen driver dominated the rally, remaining in command right from Shakedown, but also managed to resist the final challenge of the Ford WRC of Jari-Matti Latvala. With this victory, and with only five more events to be run, we can safely say that the World Rally Championship is being tinted in the red, white and blue of the French flag. One of the most interesting aspects (and there are many) of the WRC is the fantastic photography made available via the press services of all the major players. Italian Editor Roberto Motta and I have developed a way to sort through the hundreds of images that Motta gets after each event. He will sort through and send me as many as one hundred images, and from there I’ll pick 20-30 for the article, or as in this case, articles. It is always a difficult joy to make the selections.
