Rally New Zealand in English and Italian

Sebastien Loeb won the Brother Rally New Zealand and concluded the first half of the season with a distinct advantage over team-mate Hirvonen. With the win in New Zealand, Loeb took his third consecutive victory and was thus awarded even more valuable points in the standings. He can now begin to think more seriously about winning the Championship.

Sebastien Loeb: Another win at Monza

On 25 and 27 November, Sebastien Loeb, assisted by his wife Severin as co-pilot, dominated the Monza Rally Show. The Alsatian and his Citroen DS3 WRC won seven of the nine special stages, finishing the event with 24 minute, 2-second lead over motorcycleman Valentino Rossi driving a Ford Focus WRC.

Rally Sardinia 2011 In English and Italian

After victories in Mexico, Portugal and Jordan, the DS3 WRC Citroen won a fourth consecutive victory on dirt, allowing Sébastien Loeb and Daniel Elena to achieve a major success that helps them to strengthen their leading position in the drivers’ standings World Rally Championship. Sébastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia finished in fourth place scoring valuable points for Citroën Total World Rally Team, which is also leading the standings in the Constructors’ Championship.

Rally Jordan

The past weekend the battle for the FIA World Rally Championship was fought in Jordan. The third running of the ‘Blue Riband Event in the Middle East’ was conducted over its usual itinerary. The service park overlooks the Dead Sea and the start was in the ancient city of Jerash, while the stages were in the Jordanian desert.

Citroën Wins Rally Portugal, Mini Cooper Debuts

A year after they won their first victory in the FIA World Rally Championship in Portugal, Sébastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia, after driving a tactically perfect race, have won the event for a second time in a row.

After the dusty gravel roads in Mexico, the WRC returned to old Europa for the continuing battle between the Citroën DS3 and Ford Fiesta RS. The fans had great expectations for this third round of the Championship because of the emotional rivalry between the teams. Even Americans had a favorite—Ken Block was entered in a Ford Fiesta WRC.

Citroën DS3 Defeats the Ford Fiesta RS in Mexico

The opening two events of the WRC season provided extremes contrasts: after the snow and ice in Sweden, the FIA World Rally Championship traveled to hot and dusty Mexico for the Rally Guanajuato Mexico. It is the first of seven consecutive events on gravel. The first rally on asphalt will not take place until the end of August when the crews tackle Rally Germany.
