The staff of VeloceToday is currently huddled around a computer at Kinko's (a copy shop) in Monterey California, to bring you this first live edition of VeloceToday. Going forward, with our new software, we will be able to bring you reports from exciting events as they unfold.
As we have arrived early, we are able to watch as the interesting and significant cars roll down the streets and roads of Monterey and Carmel. It's refreshing to note that an increasing number of Italian car enthusiasts are driving their classics to the event.
Stephen Glenn, our publisher, has already spotted a Ferrari Transporter (ok, a Fiat 642 transporter) loaded with a 375MM Vignale and a 410 SuperAmerica, courtesy Tom Shaugnessey. Allison Reed has accomplished the electronic miracle, and Lorenzo Marchesini is here to make sure our Italian is correct.
And Pete Vack, the editor, is typing the mistakes as we go along.
Not only is VeloceToday here, but so is VelocePress, along with tons of books to be sold in our tents at the Concorso Event tomorrow. If you happen to be in the area, please stop by our booth, located next to the Ferrari Club of America Hospitality Tent. If you're not in the area, too bad, wish you were here. Plan to attend next year--in the meantime check out the VelocePress website at www.velocepress.com and see our full report on the Concorso Italiano on Tuesday, complete with photos.
