The real question in all of this is how will they do? Success in F1 comes at tremendous expense
in both people and equipment. Toyota seems to have the resources and the commitment, but they
are at a disadvantage to the top teams who have much more practical experience. The drivers have
potential to be on top of the podium, but neither of them is currently at the same level as Michael Schumacher.
The team has the technical talent, but most of the experience has come from the also-rans. None
of the top engineers are from the top teams. One only has to look at Jaguar and BAR to see that
just because it looks good on paper, does not mean they have any real chance of being a threat
to the top teams. Expect them to be near the top of the also-rans. Maybe a little higher up, if
one of the top teams has tremendous technical difficulties throughout the season. If you like
underdogs, you have a new team to cheer for.
