Alan is correct, we miscaptioned. Here is the real 2149GT, winner of the 1960 1000km of Montlhery in 1960. Number 108 referred to by Alan is S/N 2595GT. (photo by Henk Brouwer)
Will the real 2149GT please stand up?

Hi Pete,
I enjoyed very much Henk Brouwer's story about the Ennstal event in Germany (VeloceToday 11-27-02) but I think one of his Ferrari photos is mis-captioned. He says the SWB berlinetta wearing no. 108 is s/n 2149 GT. The picture shows a car with all the ear-markings of a 1961/62 style SWB which cannot be 2149 GT. A small comment made in the interest of total accuracy.
Regards,
Alan Boe

Ferrari TDF

Dear Pete and Ed,
Ed's article about the Ferrari TdF (VeloceToday OTS 11-20-02) is an interesting story about an original car. But a mystery. Pourret's book in the individual history section says that car was sold to Switzerland in 1978 and converted to covered headlights. Keith Bluemel say it at Silverstone, July 30-31 1994. So perhaps he can answer question of current head light configuration.
I am not aware of any photos published in the last 10 years. Pourret says it was sold into England in the 60's. Sir Anthony Stamer says it was in England in 1970 and for sale at £2,600. (ref Prancing Horse #28 3/70.) Guess it will bring more this time around.
Sincerely,
John Apen

Moretti help

Hi,
I just subscribed to your on-line magazine. Looks great. A question: Do you have any information on Moretti cars, or know where I might find some?
Thank you,
