Dear Peter,
I really enjoyed Jon Stein's story on the founder of the Doretti. It reminded me that although I have been busy selling Ferraris, I've photographed many cars since Cavallino in January. May I send you some pictures?
Regards, Werner Pfister

Dear Editor,
I just purchased a 1971 Fiat 500. The car is in great shape, runs well. It does need some minor touch ups.
Any recommendations on parts stores, catalogs?
Odometer shows 65000 kilometers, engine has been bored out to 650cc, but what a cute car. My 15 year old daughter calls it the clown car, reminds her of the circus car from which an infinite number of clown emerge. I'm located in the Chicago area.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
John DiMare, Juventus32@aol.com
Readers, give this gentleman some help.
Dear Editor,
I am an illustrator resident in Japan.
I draw Italian cars with color pencil mainly.
If my work is carried by your Italian car web
magazine, I am glad.
Please reply if interested.

Dear Editor,
I am trying to find a Targa Florio/Giro di Sicilia car
badge for my '61 Porsche 356 D'Ieteren roadster.
The badges are round with Targa Florio and Giro di Sicilia around the
edge and are in yellow, red, white and black. Another one had
automobilistico across the middle. Any help with any source or possibility to explore would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Friends
I would just like to mention that the new book,Targa Florio "il Mito" published by Legenda srl (Settimo Milanese), was presented in Palermo last month.
The book of 450 pages is a chronological history of the 61 editions of the race (from 1906 to 1977) in which it is also possible to find the complete entry list, the general and partial classes, the circuits and over 600 pictures. I hope that soon the book'll be also translated in English language.
My best regards, Giuseppe Valenza
Pete,
Sometimes I think that before someone gets a racing license they should
be obligated to read one of Graham Gauld's books. every day the 'sport'
fades a little...or maybe it's just barely holding its own as the
commercial interests get louder and louder and LOUDER.
Toly Arutunoff
Dear Pete,
This is Hershey:
For the record, the giant Lincoln with the back-slanted rear window is a 1960 model, not a '58 (the window's central panel opens, just like the one on the same year's Mercury Turnpike Cruiser). The Buick is a '59.

Did we get the Packard right?
Yup - hexagon in the spare wheel hub is a giveaway.
I do believe the fluted hood would normally denote a Vauxhall, but this is LHD. Maybe a Canadian one? They belonged to GM starting in 1925, and the Chevy influence became noticeable pretty soon afterwards...and the fluting and the radiator shell look exactly right. I think the mascot is correct, too - a gryphon, it would be.
Practically my only all-makes reference work is that 22-volume World of Automobiles set from the '70s, but I'm working for the new owners of the Autobooks store now and I get a discount, so I think it's time I bulked up the library a bit.
Will (again)
Per your Hershey story:
The bedraggled green coupe is a 1936 Chevy(35 had suicide doors).
The wine 1958 Buick is of course a 1959 and the 54 Roadmaster is a 1956.
All of which proves that your writer is an ITALIAN car fanatic.
Paul Andres
That’s a sure indication we’re on the right road here---
Dear Editor,
I just read your article about the Monterey Historic race day, and you would like to know where the HK 500 from the Facel Vega stands for?
Well, this stands for one horsepower(PK) for 5 kilograms car weight.
