Taking the back way from San Andreas to Murphys on old CA-49.
The old gas station: unexpected destination, worth a detour (it’s
called Sheep Ranch, CA).
Downtown Murphys is the place to be on the day prior to the show, for a preview of car participants zooming on down Main Street.

Pierce Arrow radiator mascot.
Early racers were well-represented.
Ford behinds.
Supercharged Auburn from Napa.
An amazing 1939 Graham “shark nose” in the unrestored class.
South field was filled with treasures: here 2 Jag XK’s.
Best in show went to this amazing late 1920’s Isotta-Fraschini.
