Italians on the Tour Auto

For the second time, the Grand Palais in Paris, near the Champs-Elysées Avenue, was home for the 230 cars that took part in the 2008 Tour Auto. The cars would then head south to Marseille for more than 1100 miles through the winding roads of France.

The Grand Palais was the perfect starting point as it was also where the Salon de Paris took place under its impressive transparent roof from 1901 to 1961.

Obituary: Cameron Reynolds Argetsinger

Cameron Reynolds Argetsinger, 87, Watkins Glen race founder and lawyer died peacefully, April 22, 2008, at home. He leaves his beloved wife of 67 years, Jean, their nine children, fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

London Encounters

The object of love is a little French racer (photo below) made by Deutsch-Bonnet, a manufacturer of highly successful small-bore racing cars that reigned supreme in their class between 1952 and 1962 from Le Mans to Sebring, FL.
